Martin plays a pivotal role in managing ChildFund Uganda’s partnership portfolio, ensuring a strong, diverse partner base that supports program excellence and drives positive change for children. Known for his strength in connecting people and ideas, Martin has been instrumental in building effective partnerships and enhancing partner capacity over the years. He has significantly contributed to strategic leadership, people development, partnership growth, performance and risk management and organizational change. A certified coach and professional social development worker, Martin champions a coaching approach to problem-solving and staff empowerment, earning recognition for outstanding performance in 2023.

Martin has served in various capacities at ChildFund. As an Area Program Manager in field operations, he led his team to achieve the best-performing operational area for two consecutive years. He excelled as Regional Programme Manager, overseeing impactful programs across two regions. In addition to his programmatic leadership, Martin serves as the country office’s security focal point person, ensuring effective safety and risk management. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, he coordinated an innovative rapid cash transfer initiative that disbursed UGX 2 billion to 27,887 vulnerable families between April and May, while also supporting government control measures during the extended crisis.

He previously worked with World Vision as a Technical Officer for Community Services on a multi-year USAID/PEPFAR-funded Malaria, AIDS, and TB project in post-conflict Northern Uganda. In this role, he helped drive the project’s success through strategic collaboration with district local governments, health facilities, faith-based organizations, community groups and activists.
