Expanding support for refugees and host communities

March 12, 2026

In a bid to improve livelihoods and access to education for refugee and host communities, ChildFund, with partners including ChorogUsan for Children and Good Farmers, commissioned a modern central farm in Morobi North to support poultry and goat rearing, benefiting at least 175 people through practical training, improved access to productive assets and enhanced nutrition.

Newly constructed and renovated classrooms at Sacred Heart, Salvation and Sinai ECD Centres are also providing safer and more conducive learning environments for over 1,200 children, many of whom previously studied under trees. This project, dubbed Integrated Livelihood, Education and Protection , is funded  by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)  under its humanitarian partnership program.

In 2024, ChildFund Uganda allocated 83% of its total operating expenses to programs supporting vulnerable children, families, and communities.
